Who We Are
Company
Background - 1970 - Present
Don Morphy started in the industry in 1956 as a designer at Canadian
International Paper Co. (CIP) in London,
Ontario. After nine years at
CIP he moved to Waterloo,
Ontario in 1965 to become
involved in the start up of a new sheet plant called Quigley Containers
Ltd. He was production manager for Quigley for five years. In 1970 he moved
back to London
and started Morphy Containers
Ltd. Since then Morphy
Containers Ltd. has grown from the original three person
organization to a 200 person corporation in two locations, London
and Brantford.
Morphy Containers
embarked on the second generation of leadership when Brad Morphy, Don's
son, was promoted to President. The philosophy has not changed. Morphy Containers remains a
privately owned, independent box company whose main niche is value added
sales and service. In this way Morphy
Containers Ltd. differentiates itself from the larger integrated
national and multi-national box companies.
Morphy Containers’
administrative functions (design and accounting)are located at the head
office in London, Ontario. The manufacturing of corrugated
paper products including shipping cartons, point-of-purchase displays,
partitions, interior packaging and customer service is done at its plant
locations, London and Brantford, Ontario.
